Cyndee Giebler

Mining the Volumes

Uncover the hidden gems found within the covers of the Music for Children Volumes. We’ll explore ways to make these pieces fun, artistic and joyful for today’s students. Bring a soprano recorder and a sense of adventure.

Cyndee Giebler lives and teaches in northeast Wisonsin. She is a graduate of the University Of Wisconsin, received her masters degree from the University of St. Thomas and received the first Barbara Potter scholarship for study at the Orff Institut in Salzburg, Austria. In addition to teaching, she enjoys composing and arranging music for classroom use, children’s chorus, elementary strings and beginning band. A certified Orff Schulwerk teacher trainer, Cyndee teaches graduate classes at both Anderson University and DePaul Univeristy in the summer.

Mastering the Art of Child’s Play

Discover your inner child. We will spend the day reconnecting with what makes Orff-Schulwerk such an engaging in process. This action packed day will consist of taking classic Orff-Schulwerk techniques and giving them a fresh new spin. We will use popular music, games, dancing, playing, moving, singing and dramatic play to help you rediscover the art of child's play.

Eric Young teaches K-5 music in the Roanoke City Public Schools in Roanoke, VA. Eric has presented workshops and in-services on Orff-Schulwerk, elementary music, Orff and technology for school districts, universities, state education chapters, local and regional Orff-Schulwerk chapters, online webinars, and most recently, the American Orff-Schulwerk Association National Conference in Denver, CO and the South Carolina Music Education Conference in Charleston, SC.​
